Since 1982, Masthof Press and Bookstore has printed and/or published thousands of books and helped authors self-publish and achieve their goal of printing books to distribute and preserve information. We are a second generation family business that has grown from a basement print shop into a bookstore and full service digital and offset printing company.
Our bookstore carries thousands of titles featuring local history, life stories, memoirs, Anabaptist, Pennsylvania Dutch, Amish, Mennonite, Brethren and more. Our main passion is preserving history for the next generation. We invite you to spend some time searching through our many titles. If you have any questions feel free to contact us we are happy to serve you!
Along with selling books, we also publish and help authors self-publish their books. Our pre-press services include typing, design, editing and indexing. Our manufacturing and printing equipment is efficient and enables us to produce top-quality products at competitive prices.

Up until attending school, I could only speak Mennonite Low German.
I am married and we have two sons.
Our parents and grandparents have spoken very little about the origin of Germans in Russia.
They only said that the Mennonites originally came from Holland to Prussia and then emigrated to Russia.
This is due to the tragic past of the Germans in Russia, especially from the 1917 Revolution, World Wars I and II, until at least the mid-1950s.
My generation has had a good life.
Dr. Barbara Studer Immenhauser, archivist at the Staatsarchiv Bern, shared informative facts before introducing Hans Hostettler who has retired from serving at the Archives for years.
